Re: crate engine or not?
If its in good shape you don't need a new motor. 110K is nothing on a well maintained 5.0 |

If the motor is not bad then I would not worry about replacing it...
Which way do you want to go with the car? |

get some 3.73 or 4.10 gears, 3.73's if u drive it on the highway alot, then a set of underdrive pulley's heard that steedas are a better way to go, then get a shifter so that you snatch gears a lot faster, and your gonna be making a lot more torque so your gonna want to stiffin up that chassis, so get some sub frame connectors and rear control arms upper and lower, then start making your modifications to get more air in... since u want to put a kennebell super charger on it, it might not be a bad idea to get some forged pistons and better rings so that you wont have to worry about a blow out or anything like that...
hope that i helped.... |

110k on a 5.0 is nothing. I had 180+k when I wrecked my 89 and it still ran like a raped ape.(for a stock motor)

110K ain't shit as long as the car is well maintained.

try to stick with your motor, but if you end up not liking it, sell it, then by the crate motor. or at least that is the way i would go.
