? About bolting block on engine stand

I am getting ready to get a used 1995 5.0L HO motor delivered monday, I have a 1000lb universal engine stand and I need to know what size bolts to use to bolt the block to the standplate, I was told by someone that they thought 7/16 coarse thread and 3" long would do it. I picked up 4 of them today and the length seems perfect but is the 7/16 coarse thread correct....Thanks Jim

OOPS...I dont know how the double post happened.....SORRY

The bolt has to go thru the plate hole and thread into the rear of the block, the holes on the plate are not threaded, I need to know if the bolts are 7/16 coarse thread that screws into the rear of the block. And what holes do I use on the back of the block.

I have put the engines on my stand like I said just try to screw the bolt in the back of the block were the trans mounts I dont know the exact thread pattern but im pretty sure its metric not standard thread. But try to thread it in and if it goes in easy thats the right pattern

I think 7/16s is right... make sure they are decent quality, like grade 8, they are holding a lot of weight when a complete engine is on there.
