10s with a 347 isn't difficult. It can be done and still be streetable. I had two cars with mild 347s that ran 10.80s. They both made in the area of 400hp at the wheels. If I remember right the one made 379hp and the other one made 413hp. Both were at a conservative rpm and still running to this day which is about 4-5 years later. Its all in the total combination, not just the horsepower. A 351W will definitely work too but you have to weigh your options and decide which one is going to be better for your budget and application.

yeah true darrel...i'd rather an 302 based stroker to be honest...just something about running as fast as 351's and big blocks with alot less cubic inches

I like the 347, to me its solid.my goal right now is to get 11"s on motor.whatever the nitrous brings me thats fine for now.does this combo seem solid enough for 11"s is what im tryin to figure out.

hell I am in the 11's with a stock block 302 e-cam and non ported cast heads but it took alot of other things like darrell said it aint all about hp and it don't take 500hp to go 10's

If you dont mind sharing, what is your whole combo? 11's is pretty impressive
with a stock bottom end 302. I'm looking for ideas for my next build up.

stock 302 with winsdor jr heads cast iron 1.6 rr no port work typhoon intake non ported with a 65 mm tb, e-cam +4 deg timming no ps ac alum rad with mark7 fan 130 amp alt, rear is a 8.8 with 4.10 sold spool with moser 33 spline axels trans is a c4 rev man valve body with a redneck 4000 stal converter upr upper and lower double ajustable control arms front is upr coil over 130 spring rate car weighs 3050 with me in it

changes this winter are going to be port the intake go to a 70 mm tb with a 76 C&L pipe and maf also a aderson pms and a wideband so i can tune this damn thing
