What in gods name are you running for an intake and carb combo, that you need a 5in cowl hood for?? LOL Super victor with a 2in spacer and a dominator?

i wish, but no... just edelbrock performer and holly 600, 1/2" spacer right now (for winter) will be running 1" in summer with nitrous plate.

the guy offered it for sale for 200 so i figured i should take it while its there. i know new ones are 300+ and this one had pins and all the accesorys

Ahhhh, gotcha. A 1in spacer, and the nitrous plate will sit high enough to need a cowl anyways. Might as well run the SSO style right LOL.. Thats cool man, it looks very intimidating.

Its all dependant on the builder and the overall combination, made 444 at the crank. 347 and some small tricks it will make 500. Nothing outrageous, by any means. So many engines fall short because they get their info from internet engine builders or the magazines

+1 on canfeilds, but go with jay allen for your cam. or maybe even rhs 205 heads. whatever your fancy
