Smog Pump

How do I remove the smog pump on my 95 mustang GT 5.0? And what performance issues will I have if I do that?

first of all, there are i believe two bolts that hold the smog pump on. remove those, disconnect and cap off the two vacuum lines that go to the plumbing. then remove the plumbing. one tube goes from the pump to your manifold. take that one off and put a metal cap on the bung where it went to the manifold. the other tube goes from the pump to your midpipe. remove that one and again put a cap on the bung at the midpipe. there will be brackets along the way also. remove them(i believe they will come off with the plumbing.) you will not suffer any performance losses at all or any gas mileage. are you going to put a smog pump delete pulley on also?

I thought about that, but I was told that they can go bad and its easier to just get a belt for a mustang without A/C and that would work better. What do you think?
