1988 Mustang Electrical Issue

HI,

This morning when i started my car all is well accept i have no heater fan, rear defrost, or turn signals. So far everthing else is working and the car runs fine... Last night everything was working perfectly when I shut it off. All fuses in the interior check out.

Just wondering if anyone has any ideas, or if it is a fusible link maybe somebody can help me in the direction of which one...

Thanks

this happened to me, but it was right after i got done doing my heater core, i checked everywhere for a bad ground or a short and that was the problem my glovebox light was grounding out on the metal frame my dash attaches to. if thats not your problem im not too sure what could be the probem, check all of your connections your blinkers are behing your steering wheel on the column the top plug, if your hazrd lights are disconnected that will cause your blinkers not to work.check the plugs in the back of your heater contols, maybe dead.

my problem is not exactly the same, but i do have a charging problem today again, if you guys have done anything new to your cars, like messing with anything electrical then go back and redo it.

all anyone has told me so far locally is it has to be a problem in my fusible links as i dont have a engine compartment fuse box..... so im buying a tester today to find which one is bad and replace it, i have 2x18ga and 4x16ga fusible links that i can find so far.. ill post my results sometime today.

Ok after like 8 hours of diagnosis i figured it out, main thing that led me to my problem was using a test light on fuses while the ignition was in the on position. three different ones in the interior fuse box were completely dead "good fuses just no power to the fusebox". So i preceeded to open up the steering console and the main connector in it was slightly unplugged. Pushed that in till it clicked and all problems fixed, i have heater fan turn signals and rear defrost again along with everyhting else.

All is well with my stang finally, hope this helps someone else...
