Choosing A Cam For My Combo?

All right. Stock bottom end. And i've purchased an Edelbrock performer rpm intake, 70mm throttle body, 70mm cobra maf meter, and working on a set of World Windsor JR 180 heads w/ Alum 1.6x3/8 rockers and hardend factory length pushrods. I'm trying to decide a camshaft for this new combo. I've narrowed it down to 3, unless i can get some new advice. Cams are Steeda #18 cam(220/226 & .480/.480), Comp XE270HR (218/224 & .512/.512) and the TFS stage 1 (221/225 .499/.510). Which cam would best suit my combo? and depending on the cam, what kind of power do you think it will put down?

ok the big question is are you going to be doing future mods.....like a stroker or anything along those lines....if you are the cam should be one of the last things you buy unless you know what you want from the start

well, I'm leaving the bottom end stock until it breathes no longer, then I'll look into some other options, but that will not be for awhile. I'm looking for a cam for my combo i'm putting together at the moment.

I guess I'm just gonna go trickflow! It was my first decision.

Out of the ones listed i would say that comp 270HR or possibly something with a tad more lift and duration.

first off get a bigger MAF sensor...you might as well do the injectors now, along with that a bigger fuel pump and along with that a AFPR...

and i would look into getting either a custom grind comp cam, trick flow stage 2 or a crower camshaft...

well, I'm hardpressed for money, that's why I'm not getting a custom cam. I'd be looking for a good used cam. i thought the trickflow stage 2 would be too big for the factory shortblock
