One fan from a Mark VIII would be good. Dual speed. Not sure on the exact size though. Ive used it before without any clearance problems.

Most of the time you can get your hands on one off of ebay. Usually junk yards have Mark VIIIs that will still have them. You can also source a good electric fan from most 96-04 4.6 mustangs (even better if its a cobra).

I wouldnt say its "more" tunable. From my research, and feedback.. and some experience.. carbs these days can be taliord to just about any combination, and be adjusted for precision. EFI today, is far more advanced than it was 10 years ago, just like carbs. A good EFI system, with a good tuner.. HAS the potential to perform better in every aspect. But, it really depends on the system and the tuner. I would say in most situations, EFI has a wider window of tunability and the ability to make adjustments. If your asking which is the way you should go, i would say EFI.

I shouldnt give advice though, im asking myself the same question right now.

I like my carb and am staying carb on my next setup and future ones also.I am learning how to tune them now because I would like to master tuning.I spent the most money on tuning last time and dont intend to again. Now for the electric fan I am running a flex a lite -black magic xtreme and it is great.I am glad I didnt get the proform installed because I bought it and changed my mind.

I run a 15" proform behind a 3row aluminum radiator. It works great because it has an adjustable thermostat built in. Very affordable aslo...
