does my 1992 5.0 LX have an AOD or AODE? what is the difference in the two?

im not positive but i thot someone said the aode is the sn95 tranny.....im probly wrong but i thot i seen that

cool beans.. anybody know for sure? i'm looking at shift kits and i don't know which to buy.. any more input on a shift kit would be nice too

if you shift your car into overdrive (pretty sure you do) then its aod...you have a button next to the shifter its aode e=electronic....

Tis true. AODE, electric, just before the 4R70 trannys that came out in 96 or 97. But AODE was a 94 and 95 tranny. 87-93 Used AOD.
