Is this correct?

I have a chance to get a 95 cobra cam. and wanted to know if these are the correct specs??

Cam specs: Duration: 227°/Intake & 270°/Exhaust
Lift: .485/.485 Intake/Exhaust
Lobe separation: 118.5°

If so, in my 87 towncar 5.0 h.o will it help much as far as power? I know the 95 cobras had a bit more than what this motor does now. J/w

270 degrees exhaust?!? No, definitely not, unless you are talking advertised duration.

It’s 270/270 (gross), 198/198 (.050) with .479/.479 lift (1.7 rockers) on a 118.5 lobe seperation,the cobras came stock with 1.7 rockers

you'll get an ncrease from it, you'll make that non-HO into an HO, but you gotta line it with the firing order on the engine that cam came out of, pretty much the 351 firing order

I'd pass on it. The gains will be minimal. Considering the time and money involved I'd be looking at something else like gears which will net you a bigger gain for less labor.

shit gaskets are cheap to come accross. its just a daily driver so i didnt want a big over the top cam for a basically stock motor. i could assume town cars did not come out with that much power, im sure a 95 cobra has tons more. so wouldn't it help quite a bit?
