Is it possible without pulling the head? I did run it without The Rad cap, I did bubble over. When I applied the throttle the water would drop visably in the tank. Being that its a long block with AFR's preinstalled, really what are the chances a gasket is backwords? You dont think dont think my raising the motor 1/2" might have something to do with it? In effect changing the angle of the fan thus decreasing pull of air?

You may just have air in the system.

cooling problem

I know you said you are running a stock cooling system but you said you had a larger radiator & highflow waterpump so I am curious if you are running stock pulleys or underdrive pulleys? I have had cooling issues with some aftermarket underdrive pulley set up before, & because the waterpump pulley was larger than stock and at idle the waterpump wasn't turning as fast & causing the water temp to rise when sitting at idle or very low speeds. Overheating could be from many of the other issues mentioned but just thought I would ask.

Put a hypertech thermostat in it 180 degree. get someone to run a program into the computer to have the fan go on to better suite your car

Did you break the motor in?cam?warm it up change the oil?mabey jack up the front end run it with the radiator cap off. I know fresh motors sometimes run hot on start up.

It's a new set up, hoses, thermostat, fan clutch & aluminum Rad. I am running cats, Timing at 12 Deg and running pullies however. The pullys had no effect on my previous setup so I dont think that thats my problem. Im still breaking her in shes at 3k. Im going to go through the cooling system again and see if Im missing something. Thanks all for the suggestions. I'll tear into it tonight and post anything I find......
