Injector size

At what point of modification,should the stock 19 lb. injectors be changed to 24 lb. injectors?
I have an '89 LX,that has been slightly modified and the fuel mileage is terrible....
These are the motor modifications:
70 MM throttle body,73 MM mass airflow sensor,K&N airfilter,Cobra Intake manifold,Cobra roller rockers,M.S.D. ignition,distributor,wires,coil and racing plugs...Under-drive pulleys,180* thermostat,aluminum racing radiator and an aftermarket computer,that was professionally programmed.....
The programmer said the 19 lb. injectors were fine and that he increased the pulse timing to keep up the new fuel demand...The car runs great,but the fuel mileage is really bad....Will changing to the 24 lb. injectors and slowing down the pulse,help the fule mileage,without hurting the performance?

what is the mass air meter calibrated to?And there was no need to get a tune or do anything to the computer system or the fuel system with your mods, And i have never heard of an aftermarket computer before.

it would not hurt your performance.......as far as better gas mpg....call MSO and get a 2.3

but he dont need them he needs a stock computer and stock tune.

i'd listen to the youngin.......why not go ahead and get the injectors.......there not going to hurt you but they would open the door for future mods....

what are your plans for the car

well here it goes

im in the navy.....i've been in for 4 years and im a e4.....for that im getting BAH.....money for housing....its about 1000 more a month.....it normally takes about 1 month to get the money and you get back pay so i was looking foward to getting my normal 1000 for 2 weeks plus an extra 2 for the new pay......im still waiting and its been 2 months....i have to go ask them whats up next week because im on vacation. so i should be getting a 3000 dollar pay check after my car payment!

when i get it i'll be buy this notch i've had my eyes on......nothing to crazy....has a 306/and a 5 lug conversion....nice paint....and even a set of MT et streets to boot.

your fuel mileage should not be poor. either your tuner F'd the tune up or you have some sensor issues. have you Checked for Codes?

lol i know what Base Allowance for Housing is lol i am in the airforce i am also an E-4 i came in june of 04 ya my bah is going up to 1150 but i have a $1361 mortgage payment...its a good thing my wife works.. but we get a sweet rase this year..

lol i wish but i own my house. 4 bedroom 3 bathroom 2200 sq ft. i am the first owner too.. and i am only 22yo. man but i wish i was only paying 200 a month.. i am getting a roomate though so i can have more mustang money
