calling bs on this


some guy told me you can modify a 3.8L tbird supercharger to fit a 5.0...

ill try anything once... like the guy that had a turbo for each cylender...looked cool good idea but pointless..

Dont be so quick to call BS. I remember about a year or so back, there was a shoot out with T-birds and Cougars in an issue of MM&FF. There was a 5.0 T-bird, with an M90 from a 3.8 T-bird. Car was fast and consistant, i think he won the shootout, or was runner up. Its been done.

I've seen somewhere two remote mounted MP90s from super chickens with a custom intake on a 5.0. I think it ran 10s with a stock block and a lot of boost.

it mounts ontop if the intake just like a kenne belle

The setup with the M90 that i saw in the magazine article was mounted on the side of the engine, where the smog pump use to be. With an intake pipe going up to the TB. Custom brackets and fabrication. Worked and looked really nice.

You can mount them anywhere if you have some ingenuity.

so then how would you customize your intake to fit the upper intake to fit both the supercharger and lower intake.

haha ya! i still read that artical, but i dont think you can modify the supercharger off of a 3.8L SC to fit a 5.0

I am sure it can probably be done....dosent mean its a good idea... I used to have a customs shop and you can do almost anything if you have/or want to spend the money...but it would probably cost you more in the long run than just buying the one made to fit...

Are you guys talking about this Ford Mustang Supercharger - 86-93 - BBK Performance?

This has been around for a LONG time and has been covered in numerous mags. I think Super Ford even did a giveaway project car with the BBK Instacharger. I never throw any mags away-I'll see if I can find it and scan it in.
