Clutch Question

Ok my clutch cable snapped finally after weeks of shimming it and adjusting, but luckly I had another cable on its way. I have put it all together now and for some reason my cable is scrapping on my qaudrant when i depress the clutch pedal, and it makes a noise. when i look up in there the cable is not center with the track on the quadrant, but everyhting is tight, no wobble or slop. Im not sure what to do now, any help would be appreciated.

on the plus side my pedal is like 20 times easier to push now, i hated the stiff clutch pedal

it also pushes my steering colomn to the right about an inch when i press the clutch pedal, it was doing this before the new cable to, i just hoped itd fix it all, it was also making the rubbing noise on the quadrant before i put in the new cable as well, this is what made it snap as it got cut by the quadrant.

you may need to adjust the location of your quadrant or it might be installed wrong if it is aftermarket. Also a mashed firewall bushing might cause you cable to come through the firewall slightly off center. Can you get pictures of what you are talking about?

Yes, you need to put some washers behind the quadrant. It is easy to take off if you can get under there. Just take that cotter pin (or piece of wire) out of the shaft and take the cable off and slide the quadrant out. Put some washers on there and that should fix your problem.
