is there any special way that you have to put your fuel tank in, do u have to tilt it a certain way or is there some kind of trick, maybe its just me and the fact that im laying on my back in the wet driveway with no light, but i wasnt sure if there was some special technique. thanks for your help

mine went in pretty easy but i did have two people. be careful not to knock the rubber ring into the gas tank or you will be leaking fuel all over the place

x2. use a little grease on the fuel filler pipe so that it doesn't rip the grommet when you slide it in.

I have great success doing it the following way. By myself.. I put the car on jack stands front and back. "I just like to have the room under the car." In this case you dont have to if you dont want to. Get a floor jack hopefully one with a big plate and not a shitty jack with the really small pad. Get a piece of like 1x6 wood about a foot and a half long. make sure if you can the tank is almost empty. Put the jack with the wood under the tank more forward than center. It seem to be distributed weight wise that way. Put min. pressure with the jack on the tank. Loosen and carefully remove the strap bolts while checking the jack to see if you have it positioned it right. Adjust if needed. lower just a bit and I think there is a little bolt or two by the filler hose where it goes into the tank. Remove whatever stops the rubber hose from being removed from the tank. try and grab the hose where it goes into the tank and twist and pull ect.. Mine came off easy.. Yours may not... Once its off slowly lower the tank until you can see the top of the tank so you can disconnect the lines and connectors.. After that lower the tank. It can be easy and it can be a bitch, depends on the car.. Nothin beats a lift though.. I have access to one which I use during good weather but when winter is here I do everything in my heated garage. I guess thats the next best thing...

Good floow jack with good wheels. Place it under, release pressure, loosen lines, loosen bolts. Oh yeah, and make sure your tank is empty. First time I did it, I found out why racers run with 1/4 tank... After all is ready to come out, lower the jack. It will get hung on the fill tube. Once it doesn't want to drop anymore on the fill side, slide the tank opposite the the fill side. Remove from under the car. Installation is reverse of removal...

Like he said.... what you did to get it out, you do to put it back in. If you can't get it back in, you shouldn't have taken it out in the first place....
