Options for my 86

hey i have an 86 gt. i just pulled the motor and stripped it. i was wondering what would be the best option to make power but also for it to be a strong bottom end. i have alota parts that i wanna build this motor with, they include:
- gt-40p heads
-shorty headers
-24 pound injectors
-cobra upper and lower intake manifold
-comp cam 512 lift

i already have gears and a new t-5 tranny. i was just wondering are all these parts going to be compatable with eachother and if not wat modifications am i gonna have to make, such as push rods, valve springs, rockers n such to adjust to my cam. any info would help a shitload. i wanna get this back together and see wat kinda power im gonna make.

that is a good budget build, very similar to what i have.

is this speed density or mass air? If mass air, you might want to get a bigger meter calibrated to those injectors.

you will always want to check PTV, and get an adjustable pushrod to check for the correct pushrod lenth..also a good set of roller rockers 1.6 or 1.7 will be better than the stock rockers. go ahead and get a good set of springs too. comp cams has some pretty cheap...FMS also makes some specially for GT40/GT40P heads.

Are you changing pistions? they are flat top in 86 to build more comression dont no a hole lot about building motors but do no you cant add a cam to a stock 86 motor i would think that cam would drive holes in your pistions

Get rid of that cam too. Go bigger with that also.. Might as well. Its not what stroker kit goes with your cam its what cam goes with your stroker kit...

Because you said you cant change the cam in a stock motor, and you are right if it was a stock 86 motor with speed density it would run like shit. Thats what it has to do with it..
