Flat or Roller Lifters
I have a stock 302 block. Can i want to buy some roller lifter and side them right in or do i need some machine work on the block.

there is alot of shit to factor in there and i think jordan will be more helpful but you have the stock pistons since you said stock.....are you going to up grade later to better pistons then you can bump up your rockers and get a fatter cam.....

Your block is a hydraulic roller block so just get them for a 302,by the way why do you need them?and do you mean lifters or rockers??

jay allen told me before he even lets me buy a cam from him i have to upgrade my lifters otherwiise he feels its a waste. it may be because im going to run nitrous but thats just what he told me.

the motor had 175,000 when i got it and started to tear it down, but its a late 80's block the guy i got it from said all 302 block are the same.

you can but its not a waste but if your building a new motor,or putting in a cam it dont hurt.

I'm thinking of a e cam but someone said those are outdated and get a custom. but i dont know where to get one made at.

so to answer your question no u dont need to do any machine work done cause u already have roller lifters.
