where to begin on a build...

you have a stock 5.0 HO, where do you start, small budget with moderate outcome???

have exhaust-off road x-pipe

will aftermarket headers have that much affect on the performance and sound?

do you get heads, intake, maf, inj, thrttl bdy, asking opinions of all interested

aftermarket headers will improve sound, but only good for a couple hp with stock heads.

Maybe look for an explorer motor you can salvage heads, intake, throttle body from. Those are good for about 50 hp over stock and can be had reasonably cheap.
