Is the bottom end on a 93 weaker than a 92?


i know the pistons arent forged on the 93+ 5.0s, but is it much of a difference when it comes to strength?

Everything besides the pistons is the same.

The pistons themselves are not too different in terms of strength, but forged pistons are more capable of dealing with short periods of detonation without breaking or blowing through. However, both pistons are plenty capable if you stay on top of your tune.

Yeah like Ryan said the only difference is the pistons. Wich wont be much worse than stock

there really isnt any noticable difference..

so wait i heard something about the piston shatter rather than bend dent or crack.....like you would find peices of the 93 pistons everywhere.......

thats more or less right. hypereutectic pistons tend to break while the forged ones melt
