Throttle position sensor

I went to put my old sensor off of my 55mm throttle body onto a new 70mm BBK/Edelbrock throttle body and the holding point on the inside of the TPS are not catching the 'flat stem,' the rod that actually moves the butterfly on the new throttle body. It seems that the old TB's flatened part of the rod is slightly wider than the new one, what do I need to do, get a new TPS? Are they all made the same size?

Can you post a picture? It should be identical to the factory throttle body. If not you might have a defective piece. What do the instructions say?

The witdths of the flattened part of the butterfly rod are slightly different and I believe that's where the problem lies the difference will not allow the TB rod to catch the fingers that are on the inside of the TPS. I don't have any instructions I bought the TB off ebay. I'll try and get a picture today if possible.

You can tell that it was used and it dosen't seem abused. And it was from an individual.
