engine problems

I have a 94 Mustang 5.0. I'm having a problem while driving. While slowing down to stop at an intersection, the engine will shut off as long as it is in gear. However, if it is out of gear it will run properly. Any commits accepted.

if its a 5 speed it could be your clutch is bad or needs to be adjusted

Yeah, could be your clutch isn't disengaging completely. Try pulling up on the clutch pedal to adjust, or get a firewall adjuster. Could also be a warped pressure plate.

If I remember correctly there is a vss sensor in the trans on a 5 speed that controls the idle when you coming to a stop. It is in the tail section of the trans.
