New gauge cluster

The speedo gauge I have now goes to 140mph but I believe the stock one only went to 85mph so after changing the speedo gear in the trans the speed was still about double off. I noticed 50resto has one for $70 but I dont know if that will fix the problem or do I have to frekin buy the $200 one? Say I dont need a 140mph, anyone know where I can find a new old stock one?

Its an 88' I know this car did not come with 140 mph gauges by comparing where the needle would be at on an 85 mph gauge. unless I really am cruising around 125 mph every day

yeah i'd really like to dump my 85mph speedo...do you need to change speedo gear if you swap out the 85mph unit for the 140mph one?

The spedo cluster is already calibrated, you should only have to change the spedo gear when you go with a diffrent rear end gear. And dont just put a 140 mph insert over your old one lol

no the problem is your 70 dollar one is NOT CALIBRATED.You need to buy a speedo calibrator.
