Limited slip

Hello all I heard from some ppl i've talked to that you all are very helpful so i thought id give you all a try. I have a 90 lx 5.0 I was told it doesn't have a posi in it. So I decided to put a limited slip diff in it all the places around were I live use a brand called American Axle. Has anyone ever heard of them and if so are they any good? If not does anyone have a good suggestion for one? The car is mostly used on street but will see track some.

it comes with a traction lock differential, so you shouldn't be spinning a single tire unless the t-loc needs a rebuild

yes like devine said you do have a limited slip and if you are doin the one wheel peel then it probly just needs a rebuild.....the clutches in side the limited slip wear out and you can get rebuild kits a fordracing.com

Ford Racing Performance Parts [Differentials]

look down twards the bottom of that page for a couple rebuild options

All 86 and newer 5 liter Mustangs have traction lock rear ends. If only one tire is spinning in your car that means the traction lock needs to be rebuilt. It will cost you about $50 in parts and probably $200 in labor. The stock traction lock is probably all you need unless you are making some big horsepower.

cus you cant undo it.....the only time it would be good is for a full drag car and then i just think it would be worth it to get a spool......i actually did see them do some like that on extreme 4x4 one day.....it was a budget crawler build or something like that
