trans rebuild, help needed

Ok i got a transmission today for $25 out of my buddies car that 1st and second gear pop out of gear at high throttle, he just dropped in a new one in his, i bought this so i can rebuild it and slap it in my car. My car may have at max in the future 350hp.

ive never rebuilt a transmission, so looking for suggestions on what to put into this rebuild.

should i just get a rebuild kit and hardened gears, if so i had problems locating hardened gear sets.

let me know if there is other stuff id be stupid to not replace.

badshoeproductions.com get the video.

if your only going with like 350 hp max i wouldnt worry about the hardend gear kits they are expensive but if u have the money go for it...

things you should replace while its out......

bearing retainer(get a steel one)
pilot bearing
front seal
rear seal
blocking rings/syncro kit
fork pads

get the video it will tell u what to replace dont buy anything till u watch it and take yourse apart

u will need a dial indicator with a clamp and some good snap ring plyers a few other tools..

i can rebuild it for you for cheap but u would have to ship it..

yes the trans in mine now is on borrowed time, and i got a good deal on a this core so figured time to build one.

currently 2nd grinds if i go to it fast at all or at high rpm, and third gear over like 3k rpms rattles some. the second gear thing kills my 0-60 bad if i dont want it to grind, sucks.
