explorer intake


i got one 2day at the junkyard for 60 bucks and i wanna know if i need to do anything to is b4 i put it on my car(90 lx). the sticker on it said 12/20/96.

what gaskets should i use i have the stock e7 heads.

Is the intake runner drilled and tapped for the ACT sensor?

I'd also clean it up. What does the PCV oil baffle look like under the lower. You might want to install the larger baffle if it is not already on there.

no i need to drill and tap that, the boss is there tho, also it has the big baffle in it.

19/32" bit (9/16" bit will do) and a 3/8" NPT tap. You got an internal EGR intake, so just clean it up and use the stock EGR spacer.

thanks dude, anything special with the vaccum lines theres a bunch of extra.

One small one goes to the EGR, the other small one goes to the Fuel pressure regulator. Then you need one 3/8" to go to the PCV valve and the other 3/8" to go to the vacuum tree. The rest you can plug off.


Bead blast and clear coat that bitch.

i was thinking black high temp because i dnt have a bead blaster.

Take it to a body shop, they should be able to media blast it cheap.
