when you turn on the parking lights and foglights, they both come on, instead of them only being on while headlights are on. plus they dont turn off when you put on high beams xD

Mustang GT Fog Light Fix

That article is cool, but they way over complicate the wiring.

All you need to do is run a switched 12V source (through whatever switch you want to use, stock, or other) to a relay and a fused constant 12V source to the power side of the relay. You don't need to tear apart the dash or touch any of the dash wiring. If you want to still use the factory switch, you just pull the switched wire from where it goes into the fog lights (the white wire). Way easier to get to than pulling the dash apart.

Bring your car, a 30 Amp relay from autozone, and 10 feet of 10 guage wire and I'll do it for you...it'll take about 15-30 minutes depending on if you want the terminals soldered or not....

That's what I did, cut one wire (the +12v that runs to the fog lights just before the drivers side light plug), added that, a wire and a fuse to the battery all to a relay. It all fits easily behind the headlight with the relay mounted to some existing sheet metal screw. Now my fog lights work exactly like before but get power through a fuse directly from the battery. No more headlight flickering and all work was done in the engine compartment near the battery. I used heat shrink and solder for the connections and a socket for the Bosch type relay but that is not required. Like you said, about 15 minutes.

This may not be of interest to some but if you do any electronic stuff or car accessories wiring, All Electronics Corp - Parts, Supplies and Components is a decent source for stuff.

Ryans88,
This is exactly what I've been trying to do without tearing up dash. Could you diagram your process or show pixs using stock switch? I would GREATLY appreciate and am sure others would use as well. Thanks a lot!!

Ryans88gt description is dead on. Thanks to his help, I now have my fogs running whenever I want, and using the stock fog switch. Great tip!!
