woody sells shortblocks for great deals and u should get a shortblock cause u will be at the mercy of the builder on what heads you get if u can find the long block with the heads you want u might be able to get a better price on it..but alot of times in order to give the deals they do some places will cheap out on the rings and bearings and quality of pistons.. so u think your getting a good deal but your just getting a low quaility engine

No they should not because a complete turnkey engine comes with everything including the dizzy, and they most if not all have been run on an engine dyno. e3sean was pretty much right with what he said..

go short block....it opens all doors as to what you want to do with your project....even more so if budget is in your plans.....woody is a great guy.....just so you know when you see those long blocks with 400 hp and 450 tq thats all flywheel buddy. expect to run something in the mid 300's with that not 400.

how much money do you have to spend

how much horsepower would you hope to make

5 speed or auto

street or drag

EFI or carb

my vote would be a 347 but if it were up to me everyone would run one....lol
