GT40 Intake Identification?

I have a GT 40 lower intake and was wondering if it is an original or aftermarket. My casting numbers are as follows.

If it has a ford casting number on it, it is a ford part.

it looks like a ford casting number, but unless you car is an 93 cobra that intake is not original..

and btw you have to have a gt40 upper to cuz no other intake bolts to the gt40 lower..

I'm pretty sure that GT40 explorer uppers, tubular GT40s, and cobra intakes all bolt up to the same lower....since I've mixed and matched them in the past.

Also pre 97 ford explorers had the same lower casting as the 93 cobra.

There's casting # info contained in this thread. Freaky's Official Explorer and GT-40 intake thread. 56k, don't bother - FordPower.net
I used to have a wicked link to this type of info, but I must have deleted it a while back...

Because it was the original LOWER intake on 93 cobras and ford explorers...ya dig? He was asking about the lower only.

Ok Here is the deal! I have an original Cobra upper off of a 1993 Cobra and I bought the bottom off of E-Bay and that number in the first thread is what is on the lower that I bought. If I decide to sell this set up I want to know for sure that the bottom is an original Cobra peace like the top. Thanks Kevin

Typically, the first 2 digits of a Ford part are the year, example of F3 would be 1993, E3 would be 1983. There is no decade with an M code. Maybe there are exceptions?
From what I found, a real 93 Cobra lower would have a number of F3ZZ-9424-D

and it would be cast into the side of the intake, not on the water crossover.
