You can produce a very streetable T3 twin turbo kit from grand national turbos or 2.3L ford turbos (both are Garrett).
A lot of people have done this for around $2,000.

garrett (airesearch) turbos are pretty damn tough and rebuild kits a fairly cheap. As long as they don't have any shaft play or impeller damage, they are usually good to go.
I know at least one guy in town that has 2 grand national turbos mounted a set of lincoln headers swapped upside down. He has a draw through MAF setup with a 2-into one intercooler and some kustom down pipes he welded up himself. He told me it cost him just over $1500 for the whole set up. It's in a totally sleeper looking faded red convertible mustang. Kinda funny.

Why not get a cast steel crank good I beams and a set of forged flat tops have a real sleeper with a 200 shot? cheaper and you aren't running the nitrous all the time so it remains streetable? Just my 2cents

if you have that much money get an aftermarket block.....people say that 5.0's hold 500 but if you abuse it enough it will break too.....some people might say if you have it built right you wont have this problem but oh well
i say forged interinals.....if you do that you might as well stroke it aftermarktet block single turbo kit decent H/I/C and you could have 500 horsepower all the time with more than 600 on tap if you want it |

i seen alot of guys run 9's on a stock block with the beat out of them, as long as you keep it maintained it should last....
for awhile anyway

instead of buying an aftermarket block and stroking it , i would make the move to a 351 windsor , you get more cubic inches stock or you could stroke it to over 400 reliably , you get a better block and bigger head bolts which will help prevent blown head gaskets and it would probably not cost any more then going to an aftermarket 302 block and stroking it

He'd gain alot more than 50hp from say 57 extra cubes. With the increase in displacement and with forced induction, i wouldnt be suprised if he picked up an extra 100hp. The 351 is a good way to go IMO.

EFI is not a problem with 351s. The stock A9L ECU will work with the 351, its all in the tune. All the EFI stuff from the 5.0L will work on the 351.. theres no magic tricks to perform.
