here is what you do... take some welding classes or w.e and learn how to fashion some sort of support for the tail pipes then cut them of at the top of the hump and weld them together... and then hang them there and then just dump the mufflers

mustangsunlimited.com sells wat ur lookin for their only 25 bucks, u just have to weld it in. and u can get an electric butterfly valve for it which is sick, all u gotta do is hit a button and it opens instead of having to climp under ur car and undo wingnuts

it made mine seem a little deeper as now i dont hear the exhaust coming straight out, cut some raspyness out of mine.

I think fox body GTs do what you are thinking of...Since they have the body kit on them, the tailpipes dont come straight out the back, but turn down right at the rear bumper.

Real "dumps" come right off the muffler.

I think you'll like the sound of dumps, but i gotta agree, tailpipes do look good.
