oh and they will be pulled from junkyard and ported through whatever machine shop they contract

i just dont want my compression to change will it with ported heads?
your compression will change going to the gt40 head from stock.. u should have a machine shop shave them down a lil to raise your compression...

the octaine has nothing to do with the port job its how high your compression is.

but why not run premimum...if u have a completely empty gas tank it will cost 3.00 more to fill then if u bought regular...dont be a cheap ass

it is easy but if he has never done it and noone will be there that has and from the sound of it he is not very mechanicly inclined to figure it out.. he could screw some shit up. what would happen if he didnt tighten a rocker down... or if he doesnt torque the head down right or in the right sequence, puts a headgasket on wrong or doesnt put one on at all...lol...or if he uses alot of silicone on the intake like one of my chevy buddys did to my old stang and silicone got stuck in the oil suction tube...it is easy but alot of little things could easily be fucked up to cause a world of problems...

i am actually really good at learning things and am very mechanically inclined just not with important engine parts but obviously if i watched someone do it i could learn easily

but yea easily could make a mistake and screw up my car

ive got people who know how to do it who could help me but still i rather have professionals do it who guarantee there work incase there is a problem down the road

ITS CARBD!!! nevermind that makes it alot easier.lol find one person who has done it before and do it. its verry stright forward start with the carb and work your way down. and if u do it yourself in a day! you could have enough money for a N2O kit

thats the spirit and make sure u get a chiltons or haynes manual it has all the torque requirements and tightening sequence..very easy to use.. the heads and intake both have a tightening sequence.
