Dss racing block

Hey guys i looked around at the local wrecking yard and everyone wants 600 for a 5.0 block and my wife said, "we can just buy a new block." I was need some help which one do i get. I like to have a 331 i getting a vortech s-trim sc and have my z304 heads.

Pro Bullet 331 -3cc Flat,
TopPro Bullet 331 -13cc Max Quench,
Pro Bullet 331 -18cc Max Quench Twisted Wedge/Inline

$600 for a block?

pull-a-part charges like $160 for a v8 longblock.

ill sell u my longblock with a cam for 250.00!!! and ported e7 heads with newer springs coms with it. 600 is way too much
