4 inches x 3.5 inch stroke = 351

4 x 3 inch stroke = 302

4 x 4 inch stroke = 408

i thought it was 4.030 bore,4 in stroke,6.200 in rods =408

Yeah, you caught me it is a 4.030" bore for a 408. rod length doesn't matter.

You can get 408 strokers with all sorts of different rods, the difference is made up in the piston pin height.

well yea i didnt think about pin heigth the one i was looking at had 6.2 in rods.


I dont know if you know or not but do you haft to use a specific distributor with the super victor intake like you haft to with a vic jr?

I think so...not a lot of people use the super victor. Why not get a CHI or parker if you need more flow than a victor jr.

i have not ruled anything out yet i am just goung ot see what my options are before i start the build.i found a c4 today for 40.00 my buddy has it and dont need it.

Powerglides are nice, they last the longest if your car is under 3000 lbs.

two gears and sloppy converter, don't make for much fun on the street though.

i know thats what i hate about them,this car will see alot of street time though but as a toy not reliable transportation and it will be getting a very healthy dose of nitrous.
