timing, retard or advance?


would it effect a car with a basically stock engine if you adjust the timing? in either direction? or would it be good?

i wouldnt suggest moving it fi u dont have a timing light.

timing is dependant on alot of things, but to retarded and you lose power because the flame is still propigating after bdc on the exhaust stroke. too much timing and the force comes down on the ass. at tdc(like trying to stomp in a bike pedal with the peadal straight up.
