New information (YES, AGAIN)

It may still be the computer, i dont know. Checked the lines. They wernt kinked, and seem pretty solidly connected. Double checked all the fittings. But now; I'm noticing fluxuating noises coming from the fuel pump when you turn the key. It doesnt sound the same, twice. Can of bees plus 10.. Perhaps this is the problem? Either that, it's a new problem... *shrugs*

As for the ecu and the injectors.. I'll keep examining it. And, im thinking some of the valve stem sleeves have already jacked up. I'll be investigating that in maybe 2 weeks.

Ok. Most of the problem is over now, and the car is driveable, for the MOST part. (Still has trouble with backfiring in 3rd 4th and 5th gear, in low powerbands), and is still running richer than anything ive ever seen.

The reasons that are known so far, and what was done to correct them:
-Battery replaced.
-Fuel Pressure Regulator replaced.
-Faulty Valve cover gasket replaced.
-Terrible flaw in the seating of the gasket at the rear of the lower intake. Fixed.
-All ground wires in the engine compartment disconnected, cleaned, and re-secured.
-Car draws air into fuel lines at less than 1/4 full tank.
-Went thru 2 sets of spark plugs.
-Replaced distributor top.
-Had Ignition Control Module removed and tested. It claimed to be ok.
-Replaced ignition coil.

Still have yet to correct the backfiring and the heavy richness.

Self test system for the computer still not working correctly.

Did a new fuel pressure test with a better gague set.
Injectors appear to be leaking.

Will replace thoes and see if that affects performance.

Did you fix ur ride yet? It sucks when one of the pack caint run with us! Just a insight,is your firing order right? You could be 180* off like i was with my 383 in my 78 monte and it would run but barely and the exhaust was REALLY rich and the motor wouldn't produce any power.
it wouldn't hurt to check it again even if you think its right, you damn near tore the whole car apart already! here's the firing order attatched just in case you want a reference. Dammit dude you gots some serious issues with that beast huh? i hope ya get it right and i wrote this reply before i read all the rest of what you did
