didnt think it was a problem, although it took me a while to figure out they gave me a cam for a carburated 5.0 so i had to change up my firing order...it peaks at 5000rpm and cuts out like a rev. limiter? kinda gay, but should be fie when i get sme kinda boost in there...thanks

The fact that they provided different lifters with the cam and you used your stock hyd rollers is a BIG RED FLAG. Turn off the key and back up the bus. Contact your cam manufacturer and start from scratch.

I'm amazed actually. Are those lifters they provided flat tappet or regular hydralics? Is the cam supposed to be a roller cam (let alone solidn or hyd.)? I can't believe that it will even run. You CAN'T interchange lifter styles between cams willy nilly. Really bad things happen.

I wouldn't give you a new cam or your money back, so I think he's being generous.

roller lifters cant grind down a cam, sounds like he sent you the wrong stuff, and is trying to back track, a roller cam wont come with lifters as a kit.

he sent flat lifters and only told me that i had to change my firing order cause its a carburated cam...... thats all he said...i remind you this is my first cam swap, so i didnt know the difference of cams..but he gave me the cam and flat lifters, which didnt work with my pushrods....he didnt say i needed different pushrods, i asked if i needed to change anything and was told they would swap right in..so i tried the roller lifters which fit fine...and put the rest back together

Good news is I doubt you "ground" the cam down with your hyd. roller lifters. Drain the oil and check for large amounts of shiny shit, nothing shiny? Good to go. Get the proper cam AND proper lifters and have at it. Lots of shiny glitter, oops! Pull the motor and start the rebuild. Education ain't always cheap. Good luck.
