questions re: mods for stock '90

I have a bone stock '90 5 speed, wanted to know what mods should/could make to give it more zip and faster just racing round town. Not really looking for track car. Have heard bout maybe 3.73 or 4.10 gears, cold air kit, headers with x-pipe but just not sure what is best. Like I said, just kind of looking to make it faster and quicker just to race around town and have fun in. Thanks for the input.

I'd say:

1. 3:73 gears
2. Bosch platinum 4 plugs with MSD ignition.
3. Headers and free flowing exhaust coupled with a cold air kit.
4. Uderdrive pullies coupled with an electric fan.

Yeah, I'm not a big fan of Bosch plugs either.

autolite 25s...

im more of a 4.10 guy myself but either way id recommend adding lower control arms to eliminate wheel hop and tire spin and improve 60foot times.
