I'm talking about where the bar connects to the frame, not where the bar connects to the a-arm. I just put a bar on my 89gt and had to make a 2" spacer for where it bolts to the frame.

oh ok i understand now... no i dont have a spacer at all, all it is is the bracket itself that mounts up to the frame

You definately need a spacer there. I tried bolting mine up without it & had the same problem. I just took a piece of 1" x 2" square tubing & drilled the 2 holes in it & then mounted it. No problems so far.

it just looks like a bracket from what i remember... but the important thing is that its off lol
