Its all relative to the cam being used. I had them on an engine with a cam that was a little on the small side in the lift department for the heads that were on the car. If I didn't already have a cam for my other engine I'd use these rockers on that engine but I already had a cam ground for 1.6 rockers. 1.7 rockers will take an F cam from .512 lift to .544 lift.

Many people have run in the 12s with just minor bolt ons and stock engines.

yes but wat i mean by overkill is that .544 is too much for the stock springs and im not 100% sure but probably to much for the stock valve relief

You are most definitely correct and .512 is way over kill for stock springs as well.

Your 60 foot is what is killing you. When I said basic bolt ons I meant untouched engine from intake to oil pan. Your 60 foot should be in the 1.6-1.7 area so you can probably figure 12.20s or better if you get your 60 foot in check.

Depends on valve timing. The valve timing events effect valve to pistons clearance more than lift does. Lift is a minor player in the game.

sub-frame connectors are going to make little difference with that mild of an engine Caster camber plates and strut tower brace will make no difference. Your uncle must have forgot how to drive because its really hard (and I seriously mean hard) to 60 foot 2.3 when you have slicks on the car. Just for comparision purposes I 60 footed 1.8-2.0 running low 13s on street radials. Something doesn't jive.
