depends on the speed..cuz right now my car is a little screwy thanks to timings off and theres a small vaccum leak..it wont spin in 1st gear...and the speedo reads right at that point then i shift into 2nd and it jumps to like 80mph when i'd be lucky to be doing 30mph cuz the tires are spinning.but if its doing it at the higher speeds, when ur are deffinatly not spinning, then its probably the speedo gear or the gauge cluster is busted..

mine jumped around pretty bad when i first got the car but since ive been driving it it only does it under 30mph, id say take the speedo cable out and lube the shit outa it

It will bounce from about 40 to 50 mph.

mine does it up to 60 because losers at mustangs unlimited gave me a non cruise control cable when i asked for one with it

Speedo cable or the teeth. Mine was the teeth. They cracked and broke like a dopefiend on serious high dollar ice.
