3:55s ?? gear help !!

ok i have stock gears in my gt 5 speed but i want something a little better. I'm deciding either 355s or 373s i want to get the best gas mileage but are 355s worth it over stock?

yes they are but 3.73's literally are the perfect gear for the foxes. Trust me. Ive owned 4 foxes. 4.10's kill the gas mileage. 3.55's are good, but with the torque and horsepower curves i guess you would say, the 3.73's make the biggest difference. Gas mileage is still great with 73's. Get 3.73's trust me.dont do 55's

I AGREE % 100
i've also had lots of foxes with many different gear ratios and 373s are PERFECT
BTW i've gotten as much as 24 mpg on a road trip with a very mild engine combo, t 5, and 373s

I didn't really notice a difference in mileage going from 3.55s to 3.73s, but I did notice a difference in the around town driving. It works well with the gearing in the T-5 and the engine's powerband/torque curve. I've got them in the wife's 94GT also (AODE though), and it gets 23-24 on the highway still.

IMO you will regret your decision if you get the 3.55s because they don't feel as good as 3.73s and the mileage difference in negligable at best.
