Glad everyone is still enjoying this write up. I just picked up an SN-95 and it needs the trac-lok rebuild, so looks like I get to swim in some gear oil again.

great write up, i am going to be doing this soon and am going with the ford racing carbon clutches, would adding the f150 s spring be too much with the carbon clutches?

After i got the s spring back in i noticed that one of the spider gears can move up and down in the diff. about 1/16 of an inch. is this normal or is there something wrong. i dont have the center pin in yet because one of the orings on the axle where the c clip goes ripped. will any o ring work or is it a special one.

The clutch pack were tight that i could barely get the spider gears to clear to go back where they are suppose to. does the s spring touch the spider gears once is is back in an y would only one spider gear move and not the other? it barely moves when it is back up inside the traction lok housing

yea the bushing are there in both tired shimming the side gears more and when i do that it pops the bushing off the spider gears when i go to rotate them back into the housing so i dont think that i can shim the side gears anymore.

There is an end play spec, but I don't know what it is. I like them to be as close as possible without causing the center pin to bind when you install it, since the end play will go up as the clutch packs wear.

Traction Lok
This was a fantastic writeup! I humbly admit to not owning a Stang but the diff is the same as my old Ranger 4x4. To change a leaking axle oil seal I found I had to take apart the diff to get at the C-clips which is fine, but is there a fix for getting the pin all the way out so I can remove the S-spring? With the spring in the way I cant get at the C-clips (my axles dont seem to push in as far as yours). The pin cant clear the ring gear because the pin's flat-edge ends. At that point there's about 2mm of overlap where the pin's full diameter comes into contact with the ring gear and I'm sure smashing the ring gear in frustration is NOT the correct approach.
