Autometer Tach Help

Hey guys,

I just installed my tach. I am wondering where to wire in for the RPM's. I have the 2 power and Ground done. They work fine and the face lights up. The instructions say to wire it to the ground side of the coil. Is this where everyone has wired there's? I looked at the wiring diagram but am not sure which is the ground side(red or green). The green one is hot I think(when the switch is on it lights up my meter). Any help would be great. Thanks.

Josh

Ok here we go...

TACH SIDE:
White = Lights
Black = Ground
Red = + Power
Green = Tach Signal

Here's a site to check out, add to your favs, and maybe print off a couple things...

That info is very helpful thank you. Looks like I'll be removing a AOD trans today!

I actually found an article from like 1998 or something and it said to use the green coil wire. I hooked it up and it is working fine.
