Who is running a Direct replacement Alum Rad from Ford racing

I want to get an Aluminum radiator for my 89. I was looking at the Ford Racing Direct 79-93 replacement radiator they offer.

Has anyone bought this radiator and put it in their mustang?

One thing I don't like about it is that it has plastic tanks instead of alum tanks.

this one here - click on enlarge Pic it looks identical

i don't know the difference between ^^^

and this one Ford Racing M-8005-C03 - Ford Racing Aluminum Radiators - summitracing.com

I like this one too.

ive got one identical to the FR rad although its not FR and i paid 70$ for mine BRAND NEW from a wrecking yard that sells new parts. no probs whatsoever.

the plastic side tanks are no biggie i didnt want the plastic but for the price you cant do better. havnt had a problem yet. i think i still have a air bubble or two but its not rad related.

I think he means he hasn't had to flush the fluid or anything...I dunno.

Anyway, I have the fluidyne rad and I like it. It's probably a few years old and still looks new.

I think you'll be happy with pretty much any aluminum rad you pick; they all do the same thing anyway, just a different logo on it.

Which one the FR or the griffen?

Did it just bolt right in or did you have to cut anything?
