Vapor Locking?

My daughters 88 5.0 gt sputtered and quit at an intersection. She had just left a store where she left it idling w/ac (friend&baby). It started up again after a while but only went a block and did the same. I went to look at it and it would start and run for a while and then start sputtering and die like it was running out of gas. Tank is full. After it got cold, I drove it around the block with no problems. Has anyone ever had vapor lock problems with the 5.0? I thought I could hear something(hissing?) around the gas line on top of the engine when it was hot and motor was off. I don't know where to start to troubleshoot a problem like this. Please help.

check the fuel pressure, since u hear hissing coming from the fuel line the pressure is obviously too high if tht is where its coming from, u might hav a pinched fuel line somewhere, check the pressure it should be around 40psi maybe a little more or less,.... might wanna change the fuel filter also..
