Hey I have a 93 Cobra and was wandering if anyone came across the problem of a/c not blowing through the vents its stuck blowing floor and def. Not sure if its the vacuum or switch. Also I have a problem with my relay heating up so hot I cant touch it unless the car has been off for an hour or two. Anyone know whats up with either of these problems?

welcome to moddedmustangs, the regional section is a good place for seeking local help, but if your just looking for answers to questions questions about your 5.0 try creating your own thread click here. post your questions about the efi and try to provide as much information as possible.

This is usually a sign of some sort of vacuum failure or leak. On my 91 LX, there is a vacuum hose block behind the dash between the glove box door and the center console. It should have several different color hoses going into it. Make sure that they are all connected and to the correct outlets. There is also (on mine) a little discussed vacuum resevoir located in the passenger side wheel well (behind the plastic inner fender liner). Not wanting to pull the inner fender apart at that time, I picked up a new one from Ford (no it wasnt obsolete yet!) and just hooked it up under the hood. Like magic, the whole hvac system came back to life! When I did my front suspension, I pulled the inner fender liner and found that the resevoir had a 3 inch split right along the seam. Hope this helps.

I've got what may seem to be a really dumb question...on a 82 5.0 litre engine 302 CID what would have been the Horse power and Torque for that engine
