Boss 302 Build Up!
I have a 70 boss 302 short block. I want to turn it into a F.I motor and would like to hear some combo's that you can think of. I was going to build a true boss for my 62 comet but now I really want to build a force fed fuelie for my 90 convert out of this stought little bugger. Any Ideas?

What exactally are you trying to get out of the car? Is this car going to be your DD, etc. Power adder? Stroker? NA? Do you have a certain HP goal you are trying to achieve? Whats your budget look like?

Low compression motor with lots of boost...
That will give ya lots of power... But this is really going to be based on your budget for the most part... |

Chris, Your on the right track. I know I can twist this thing to at least 9,000 rpm and lots of boost means twin turbo in my book. What size chamber should I get on the heads to make a 8.5 to 1 with .030 over pistons? and stock stroke on the lower end?

What about ditching the 302 and going with a 351C with the twin hair dryer option...It would be alot of work but it would be a wild car...
Drop a mod motor in there...Put in a 5.4...That would be awesome... Or take the 302 make it EFI...Get some nice heads...have them worked...Get a nice turbo ground cam...And run some twins on it... |
