rocker/valve lash adjustment

my machine shop dude,. said torque them down to 24lbs. each.

however i did this and i broke 2 screws on one head, so there i stopped. Does this sound correct, and i just might have poor bolts... or is that the improper way to torque my rockers down

If your bolts are breaking at 24 ft lbs you got problems with your torque wrench or your bolts.

yea i returned the wrench, it was some weak powerbuilt garbage...

supposedly ford tells me that i got the last 8 rocker bolts in the country.. so im picking up a good wrench and installin them eventually

Torque wrenches are not created equal, you get what you pay for.
