Head Swap starter trying to work. I have fuel pressure, but I think the distributor may be the problem. I marked the distributor when I removed it from the engine, but the manual says to make sure piston #1 is TDC and to align the distributor to that. Any ideas of where to go next to get my stang back running?

If the starter isn't turning the engine it's not getting enough juice. Sounds to me like you're describing a low voltage condition.

rapid tapping .... check the tappets and make sure they are spaced right
