so im getting 24lb injectors and the calibrated mass air tomorrow with a 255lph fuel pump. and am curious what kind of jump in power i should expect or not expect...im running a trick flow setup on stock heads and a mild cam.

Define trick Flow setup, if ya have stock heads, what all ya got?

because the stock injectors/fuel system would have been fine for now. The new system that you have is probably a touch more efficient than stock, but other than that an upgrade wasn't needed at the point your at now. It is not a mistake to upgrade the fuel system like you did though, it makes for a good building platform for later on down the road

yes he said he has stock heads... the "trick flow setup" is probably an intake manifold??

yes upper and lower trick flow edelbrock 70 mm tb. roller rockers and a custom cam....then the rest is your average bolt ons....im looking to do the heads next.....but found a decent deal on the fuel stuff...and figured why not, it will need to be done and i was trying to see if i should be expecting a slightly noticable change

You mean after just changing to 24# injectors? I would say nothing at all unless your 19# and fuel pump were not capable of maintaining the proper A/F ratio which I'm sure with the mods you have, they were capable. The MAF measures air going into the engine and the computer controls the FI to squirt a very specific amount of fuel into cylinders based on that measured air flow. The resulr is a specific A/F ratio. The MAF and the FI do not increase the amount of air and fuel that your engine needs, the computer will still maintain the same A/F ratio it did before so... With no more air, the fuel will be the same and your power will be the same.
The short answer. Your car only needs so much fuel to run good, bigger injectors are going to put the same amount of fuel in as the small injectors. There may be a little advantage with the new stuff as the MAF may be a little less restrictive, may be more accurate and the injectors maybe better because they are new and a shorter pulse width but that is it. Moving to 24# injectors is not a waste, at some point, the 19# injectors can not put enough fuel into the mix to maintain the right A/F ratio. I believe that is around 300 HP at the stock pressure.

I think it is money that could be spent somewhere else right now. Sure if your plans are to go beyond 300hp in the near future, then its a good idea, but if not its a waste of money at the moment. Besides a 190 is plenty for 24lb squirters, 250= overkill. Just my opinion.

okay well there isnt much else i can do besides fuel right now. heads and a better exhaust are the big ones but those are a little more spendy, and if i dont need to put the 255lph fuel pump in i wont but for 150$$ i can get the calibrated mass air and 24lb injectors with about 100miles on them....and once i get the heads and exhaust takin care of its a supercharger.....once i get the engine ready for it

Are 24's going to be enough in the long run? If not, don't waste the 150 just because its a good deal. Grab some control arms and start on the suspension if not enough funds for the heads and supercharger yet. Your stock stuff will be plenty til the supercharger is on. If you buy a supercharger in kit form it will come with squirters and pump. If you are only going to go 6 psi or so the 24's will be enough. In that case I would go ahead and get them.

For heads i'd say TFS twisted wedges, and for exhaust some nice longtubes, like Bassani, and o/r x-pipe to go with those. That is my favourite setup, with Magnaflow cat back.

Most come with a pump and FMU, I haven't seen any that come with injectors.

some kits do come with injectors. The "tuner" kits dont come with. And the injectors will help a little but only at higher rpms. Going to the larger mass air is actually your bigger gain. You will finally get to use your 70mm tb. a stock mass air meter is only 65mm if memory serves me right. so you can only move a certain amount of air through the stock meter compared to the afternarket units. And the 19s will suffice for now but 24s will pull better on the top.

Thats right if it comes with a 6 lb pulley you will only get an fmu. Who the heck spends all that money for 6 psi? Like said above you can get upgraded kits with injectors and pump.
I hope this link doesn't come back to bite me in the butt, but I am sure you will read it more thorough than I did. Paxton Ford Mustang Supercharger Kits
